In Pokémon GO, the bonus hour starts again today, February 13. However, the bonus disappoints many players and some have doubts about the future of the event.
What is the Wonder Bonus? This time there is double XP during raids. So if you use a Lucky Egg during a legendary raid, you can earn 40,000 XP instead of 20,000 XP.
However, many players find this bonus somewhat useless. They are already discussing how to find a better bonus and whether this event even has a future.
All Information about Today’s Wonder Bonus Hour
When does it start? The event starts today at 6 PM local time. For exactly one hour, you will get double the amount of XP during raids. It ends at 7 PM.
Where does the information come from? Players from New Zealand and Australia already have access to this event. There it was already 6 PM and the bonus is live. Therefore, we know what to expect in a few hours.
This is being criticized: Many trainers do not understand the purpose of this bonus. After all, yesterday was the raid hour, where such an event would have been worthwhile. Now one would have to raid again today to make effective use of the bonus.
Other players say that the time for such a bonus is simply too short. Snufflee on reddit says: “Is there at least an increase in raid eggs for the one-hour event, or is the hour, when our local park has no raids, a total waste of time?”
Other trainers again mention that Niantic only wants to earn money through raid passes. ShepherdsWeShelby suspects that Niantic wants to say with this event: “Get out trainers and buy more premium raid passes!”
Does this event have a future? Niantic wants to test a new event series with the Wonder Bonus Hour. However, there is currently quite a bit of criticism regarding the new event, so it is entirely possible that the event has no future.
Last week, players were happy about double Stardust, but they expected more during that one hour. A bonus like triple or even quintuple Stardust was suggested.
