In Pokémon GO is hosting a big event for the 7th anniversary. Expect plenty of spawns, changing bonuses, and for some players, Shiny Mew. We at MeinMMO will show you all the highlights of the event.
What event is it? Pokémon GO turns 7 years old this year. There should definitely be a corresponding party to celebrate the anniversary. Many Pokémon from various generations will be joining in along with plenty of bonuses.
You can expect new costumed Pokémon and the return of Mew among other things. The number 7 will play a significant role regarding the bonuses. What you can expect exactly has been summarized for you below.
When does the event start? The Party for the 7th Anniversary
starts on July 06, 2023, at 10:00 AM local time and runs for a week until it ends on July 12, 2023, at 08:00 PM.

Spawns for the 7th Anniversary
Costumed Pokémon: For the 7th anniversary, some Pokémon have really dressed up. For instance, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle can be found wearing party hats. Pikachu will wear a cake hat.
Additionally, due to its Pokédex number, Squirtle will play a special role around the 7th birthday. For the first time, it will be possible to evolve costumed Squirtle into Wartortle and Blastoise, each wearing a party hat.
New Raid Bosses: The raids will also be colorful and Kanto-heavy during the event. You can expect the following Pokémon:

All Wild Spawns
During the event, it will literally be wild in the wild. You will not only encounter generally changed spawns, but each day will feature three special Pokémon that will spawn more frequently. Changing Bonuses: In addition to the previously mentioned bonuses available throughout the event, you will receive changing bonuses on each of the individual event days. The following bonuses will be available from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM local time:
- July 06: double XP when catching
- July 07: double Stardust when catching
- July 08: double candy when catching
- July 09: half hatch distance for eggs
- July 10: double level-up in friendship levels
- July 11: double candy for sending
- July 12: double XP when evolving
The Masterpiece Research All in One … No. 151
What kind of research is this? The research under the name All in One … No. 151
is a paid special research where you can secure the mysterious Pokémon Mew in its Shiny form. However, this is not available to everyone.
Who doesn’t get the research? The research for Shiny Mew was already available during the Kanto Tour three years ago and will now be available again. Trainers who purchased it for this event cannot buy it again now.
How much does the research cost? Those wanting to secure Shiny Mew and who haven’t purchased the research yet can buy it for $5 in the in-game shop during the event.
Special Bonuses: Those who buy the research or had purchased it in the past can look forward to additional bonuses for the anniversary. The following will be provided:
- Incense lasts twice as long
- Adventure Incense lasts twice as long
- Attraction modules last twice as long
