The weekly overview for Pokémon GO shows the Shadow Jungle event, a spotlight hour, a raid hour, a new raid boss, a new PvP cup, and a special weekend.
What’s happening in Pokémon GO? The game is in the final hours of the Color Festival, which ends on March 20. However, there is no break in sight for the next few days. New Pokémon, an event, spotlight and raid hours, and changes in PvP are coming up.
We’ll show you in the weekly overview what is happening in the coming days.
March 22 – Shadow Jungle Event starts
What’s happening? The Shadow Jungle event brings Shiny Waumboll into the game. For collectors among you, this is a reason to definitely participate. Additionally, Imantis, Mantidea, and the legendary Pokémon Kapu-Fala will make their debut.
The event runs from March 22 to March 29 and also includes a special park weekend, which we will present to you later in the article.
At the same time, raids with Mega-Charizard-Y and Kapu-Fala will start.
March 22 – Spotlight Hour with Mogelbaum
What’s happening? As you know from previous Tuesdays, an evening spotlight hour runs from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This time, Mogelbaum will be in the spotlight during the event. For catching Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of experience points during the event time.
March 22 – Super League and new cup in PvP
What’s happening? In Pokémon GO’s trainer battles, the Super League will be activated on March 22.
Additionally, you will be able to participate in the Mini Jungle Cup starting then. This will run until March 29, after which the Hyper League and the Catch Cup will start.

March 23 – Raid Hour with Kapu-Fala
What’s happening? Every Wednesday, a raid hour with a current level-5 boss runs in Pokémon GO. Next Wednesday, there will be raids with Kapu-Fala during this time.
For one hour, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, you will find raids with the new boss in nearly every gym.

March 26 – Special Park Spotlight Adventure
What’s happening? As part of the Shadow Jungle event, Niantic announced a special weekend event for you. The spotlight weekend in parks.
The park weekend runs from Saturday, March 26 at 10:00 AM to Sunday, March 27 at 8:00 PM local time. During that time, you will find Waumboll more frequently in parks and also have the chance for Shiny-Waumboll.
