What kind of event is this? In Pokémon GO, the focus is on sustainability. The developers are currently distributing rewards for fighting against climate change. The new Environmental Week aims to strengthen this focus and brings some bonuses.

Environmental Week in Pokémon GO – All Bonuses
When does it start? The Environmental Week starts in Pokémon GO on April 20 at 10:00 AM local time. You have until Sunday, April 25 at 20:00 to take advantage of this event.
New Pokémon: During the event, Bithora from Generation 6 will be introduced as a new Pokémon in the game. Bithora is of the Rock and Water types. It has an evolution called Thanathora.

New Shiny: If you’re lucky, you’ll encounter shiny Unratütox starting with the Environmental Week. Whether Niantic will increase the chances for this event is still unclear.
Spawns in the Wild: As you might know from other events, certain Pokémon are more frequently found in the wild during the event time. During the Environmental Week, these include Sleima, Rotomurf, Unratütox, and Kastadur.
New 5-km Eggs: New 5-km eggs that you receive during the event can contain the following Pokémon: Digda, Tangela, Goldini, Knospi, Kikugi, Finneon, and Rotomurf.
Raids: The bosses you meet in the arenas at various difficulty levels will change for the Environmental Week. You will encounter Giflor, Alola-Kokowei, Unratütox, Bithora, and more monsters.
Quests: There will be some variety in the field research. As a reward, you may encounter Pokémon like Waumboll, Igamaro, or Bithora.
What’s free: If you visit the in-game shop of Pokémon GO during the event, you can secure a free T-shirt for the Environmental Week.
