Today, on December 31, 2021, the New Year event begins in Pokémon GO. Many costumed Pokémon, Shinies, and fireworks will appear on New Year’s Eve. We will show you all the bonuses of the event here.
When does the event start? Today, on December 31, the event starts at 10:00 PM local time. It will run until next Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 8:00 PM local time.

Special research continues: Since the beginning of December, you have been researching the special research for the season of origin in Pokémon GO. It is set to continue during the New Year’s event. You will find details here on MeinMMO as soon as they are known.

Fireworks: As you may have seen from other events, there will be fireworks in the game. This will start on December 31 at 11:00 PM local time and will be active until January 2 at midnight.
