Today, on July 29th, the last raid hour in Pokémon GO for this month is taking place. The Pokémon Kyurem is in focus.
What kind of event is this? Currently, this special raid event takes place every Wednesday evening. Nearly everywhere in the arenas, level 5 raids appear. So it’s a good opportunity for you to hunt for legendary bosses.
Today, on July 29th, the legendary Pokémon Kyurem with Dragon and Ice type is in focus. We will show you everything you need to know about the raids and the Pokémon.
Raid Hour with Kyurem – Best Counters
When does it start? As you are used to, the event also begins today at 6:00 PM local time. It will be active for about an hour and should end around 7:00 PM.
You can also use the remote raid passes to battle if there is nothing happening in your immediate area or if you are not close to an arena during the event time.
What are the best counters? Kyurem is weak against the following types:
- Dragon (Even stronger in windy weather)
- Fairy (Even stronger in cloudy weather)
- Fighting (Even stronger in cloudy weather)
- Rock (Even stronger in partly cloudy weather)
- Steel (Even stronger in snow weather, which is not expected today)
- The best attackers in Pokémon GO, sorted by type, can be found here
The best counters include Pokémon such as:

- Meistagrif with Counter and Dynamic Punch
- Dialga with Metal Claw and Draco Meteor
- Zekrom with Fire Breath and Wild Charge

In our counter guide to Kyurem in Pokémon GO, you will find more strong attackers and important info about the boss.
How many players are needed? You can tackle Kyurem with just two players if you, as a trainer, have a high level and correspondingly strong counter Pokémon. However, to get the most out of the raid hour, groups of about 5 players are recommended. This way, the raids go faster, and you can complete more of them in the 60 minutes.
In August, the legendary Pokémon you can battle in the raid hours will change. In the coming weeks, there will also be 3 events that could make these raid hours interesting.
