In Pokémon GO a Spotlight Hour with Seadra starts today, August 4th. We will show you what to expect and who it is worth for.
What is a Spotlight Hour? This is an event that takes place every Tuesday evening in Pokémon GO. However, the Pokémon in the spotlight changes every week. This is accompanied by a bonus that aims to make this event more appealing to players.
Today’s Tuesday is all about the water Pokémon Seadra. The following Spotlight Hours in August bring more shiny chances.
Spotlight Hour on August 4th with Seadra
When does the event start? As you are used to, the Spotlight Hour starts again today at 6:00 PM local time. The event will be active for about an hour and ends around 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are there? The big bonus of the Spotlight Hour is that Seadra can be found much more frequently in the wild.
This is accompanied by a candy bonus. If you catch Pokémon during the event time, you will receive double candy for the catch. If you also use a Raspberry, you can significantly increase your candy stock for certain species.
Is there a shiny Seadra? Yes! The shiny form of Seadra has been available since summer 2019 in Pokémon GO. If you’re lucky, you might encounter the shiny form during the Spotlight Hour today.
Who is this event worth it for? Shiny hunters who are missing Seadra or its evolution as shiny will likely have an important appointment tonight.
Additionally, this event is interesting for you if you haven’t caught your Spritzee from the limited research yet. Trainers in the community advised to save the Spritzee encounters until tonight. This way, you can gain some candy for the rare Pokémon.
After this event, Pokémon GO will bring you some more events in the coming weeks. More Spotlight Hours, a Community Day, and Ultra Bonus Weeks.
