In Pokémon Go, Team GO Rocket is launching a major attack in February. This means for you, altered spawns, new raid bosses, and more battles with goons.

During the event, you can look forward to special field research, a time-limited research, bonuses, and a ton of Team Rocket-inspired Pokémon in eggs, raids, and the wild.
These are the important times: It starts on Tuesday, February 2nd at 10 a.m. local time. You have until Sunday, February 7th at 8 p.m. to participate, and then the Rocket Event ends.
Everything about event spawns and Rocket goons
These monsters will spawn: In line with Team Rocket’s devious plans, you will mainly find more Poison and Dark-type Pokémon in the wild.

What about Rocket goons? The Rocket goons are supposed to attack PokéStops more frequently during the event and more balloons are expected to appear. The Pokémon you have to fight against will change during the event.
This change is also expected to persist after the event. If you defeat a Rocket boss during the event period, you will have a chance to receive special gift stickers.

What you need to know about egg hatching
This bonus is active: Throughout the event, the hatch distance for all eggs placed in the incubator is halved. If you place an egg in an incubator by Sunday, February 7th, 7:59 p.m., you will benefit from the reduced hatch distance even after the event.
Which Pokémon are in curious eggs? In the 12 kilometers curious eggs that you obtain during the event, some of the monsters can also be found in the wild. But also as rare as Kapuno or the favorite Pokémon of MeinMMO editor Noah Struthoff.

What about the research? Currently, we do not know what the event-exclusive field research and the limited research will look like or what the rewards will be. Niantic only announced that trainers can look forward to it. Could we possibly expect another encounter with Giovanni?
