In Pokémon GO the “Lake Legends Event” starts next week, giving us the chance to encounter the legendary lake trio and Shiny Goldini. We will show you the details of the event.
When does the event start? It begins on November 24 at 8:00 AM local time. The event will last until November 30 at 10:00 PM.
During the event period, everything revolves around Pokémon that mainly occur in and around lakes. The highlight will be the return of Selfe, Tobutz, and Vesprit.
All info about the Lake Event
These are the bonuses: We give you a quick overview of all bonuses in the event:
- Selfe, Tobutz, and Vesprit appear in different regions in the raids – In Germany, we will probably be able to catch Vesprit again
- Pokémon such as Enton, Goldini, Karpador, Gehweiher, Staralili, Bidiza, Schalellos, Abra, Machollo, and Trasla will appear more frequently in the wild, in incense, and in eggs
- Goldini will appear for the first time as Shiny in Pokémon GO
- There are new rewards for AR mapping tasks
- Special field research is available
What you should know about the lake trio: So far, we have only been able to find Vesprit in Germany in the raids, while trainers in other regions of the world have only found Tobutz or Selfe.
That will remain the case, but now there are also remote raids. Niantic has already confirmed that you can be invited to raids of Tobutz or Selfe, even if you are not in the correct region. This means you just need a friend from the respective region, and then the raids can start.

What does Shiny Goldini look like? The difference here is minimal. The Shiny is a bit brighter than the normal form:
Limited Research with Nidoran
What type of event is this? Besides the Lake Event, Pokémon GO has also announced new limited research. This event revolves again around quests that will reward you with male and female Nidoran.
When do the limited researches run? The event starts on November 28 and runs from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM local time. You have all day to complete numerous quests around Nidoran.
What about Shiny Nidoran? Both Nidoran forms already exist as Shiny in the game. In the past, the Shiny rate has been significantly increased for limited researches. This will likely be the case again this time.
