On Pokémon GO, a new Smoke Day starts this Sunday, March 14. This one revolves around Beldum, but also other monsters. We show you what to look forward to.
What is a Smoke Day? This event focuses on the item Smoke. For 6 hours, the smoke attracts very special Pokémon that change every hour. Each Smoke Day is assigned a very special theme.
This time, the Smoke Day revolves around Beldum and Pokémon of the Psychic and Steel types. Niantic has now published a list of spawns that you will find there. We provide the overview.
All info about the Smoke Day in March with Beldum
When does the Smoke Day take place? It starts on March 14 at 11:00 AM local time. The event lasts for 6 hours and ends at 5:00 PM.
Note these times: Every hour, the Pokémon that come from the smoke change. Here is the hourly overview:
- 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Psychic Pokémon appear in the smoke
- 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM: Steel Pokémon appear in the smoke
- 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM: Psychic Pokémon appear in the smoke
- 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM: Steel Pokémon appear in the smoke
- 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM: Psychic Pokémon appear in the smoke
- 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM: Steel Pokémon appear in the smoke
These Pokémon are available on Smoke Day: Niantic has already published a small list for this, showing the Pokémon that will appear on Smoke Day.
- As Psychic Pokémon, Beldum*, Natu*, Girafarig, Meditite*, Puppance* and Somniam will appear
- As Steel Pokémon, Beldum*, Alolan Diglett*, Magnemite*, Stooutland*, Bronzor* and Shielder are available
All Pokémon marked with a star here can also be encountered as Shiny.
Interesting among them are Pokémon like Alolan Diglett, Magnemite, Natu, or Puppance. They are all rather rare in the wild, and some trainers might still be looking for Shinies.
Beldum has been catchable in Pokémon GO since 2018. In October 2018, there was a Community Day with Beldum, since then the shiny form of the Pokémon has also been available.
This attack is available: If you evolve a Metagross during the event, it will learn the move Meteor Mash. With this attack, Metagross will then be far and away the best Steel attacker and also generally a useful all-rounder.
So if you catch a strong Beldum during the hour or already have one, you should definitely evolve it during the event.
What’s next? In March, there are still quite a few events waiting for you players. There are raid and spotlight hours, as well as numerous other events with new Shinies.
