The launch of Pokemon GO has been postponed in Germany and other countries.
Just recently we were excited to hear that Pokemon GO will be released in Germany in a few days, but now there is some not-so-good news. For days now, developer Niantic has been struggling with server issues – it is said that these problems will delay the launch. It is not because Pokemon Trainers are searching for wild Pokemon and Pokeballs in Australian police stations.
Higher demand for Pokemon GO than expected
John Hanke, the CEO of Niantic, says that although they expected a large response at the launch of the new Pokemon game for Android and iOS, the demand for this game is so high that no one anticipated it. Of course, they planned for minor server overloads, but the demand is steadily increasing – Already, the game is at the top of App Store charts in the countries where it is available.

Niantic is already working on a solution for this problem, but they will only start the release when they have “a good feeling” about it. How long we have to wait for the release of Pokemon GO in Germany is not yet known. It is likely just the first few days that the servers of Pokemon GO cannot handle the number of players. Let’s hope that we will have more accurate information on this in the coming days.
