The Community Day in Pokémon GO brings the special research “Spreading Joy” which you can purchase for one Euro in the shop. We will show you what content the ticket brings and whether it’s worth it for you.
What kind of ticket is this? On this Saturday, April 15, 2023, the Community Day with Togetic is taking place. It runs from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
In line with the event, as is customary for Community Days, there is also a research in the shop that you can buy for about 0.99 Euro (varies by shop). The current one is called “Spreading Joy,” offers you rewards related to Togetic, and provides you with some useful items.

Spreading Joy – All Tasks and Rewards
Where does the information come from? In Germany, the Community Day starts at 2:00 PM, but in other time zones, it has already started or has even already taken place.

You can expect a total of four research steps that will provide you with various rewards.
Research on Togetic – Step 1/4

Stage reward: If you have collected the rewards for this level, you will additionally receive 3,000 XP, 3 Rare Candies, and a meeting with Togekiss.
Is it worth purchasing the event ticket with Togetic?
What you need to know: With the research, you will receive several additional encounters with Togetic, another Togekiss, and plenty of candies. It helps you to obtain the Pokémon of the day.
Moreover, you will also receive some items with the research that are slightly cheaper as part of the 1-Euro ticket than if you were to buy them in the shop.
If we consider the coin value of the most important items in the research, we get the following overview:
- An incense costs 40 coins in the shop (approximately 0.40 Euro).
- An incense module costs 100 coins (approximately 1 Euro)
- The Lucky Egg costs 80 coins (approximately 0.80 Euro)
- A Rocket Radar costs 200 coins in the shop (approximately 2 Euro)
Additionally, the research includes various balls, XP, and berries, as well as 3 Rare Candies and the Togetic encounters and candies.
Who should purchase the ticket? If your focus on Community Day is solely to catch Togetic, you do not need the ticket. The wild spawns should be sufficient to find enough Togetic. However, the research does provide you with many candies quite quickly and also the final evolutionary stage, Togekiss. If you have little time, it might be worth it.
If you were planning to buy some of the items from the research with real money anyway, the ticket is definitely worth it as you can save a few euros. However, keep in mind that you can also purchase the items in the shop with in-game earned coins without spending real money.
