In Pokémon GO today, on October 27th, the Spotlight Hour with Shuppet is taking place. We will show you the bonuses and the Shinies that you can catch.
What is a Spotlight Hour? This event takes place every Tuesday in Pokémon GO. For one hour, a special Pokémon is in the spotlight and a special bonus rounds off the event.
This week is all about Shuppet. That’s fitting, as the Halloween Event is currently ongoing, which increases the spawn of this monster anyway.
Spotlight Hour with Shuppet – All Information
When does the Spotlight Hour run? It starts at 6:00 PM local time. For one hour, Shuppet spawns will be increased.
What are the bonuses? Currently, Shuppet already appears more often, but during the Spotlight Hour, there will be almost only Shuppet. Additionally, spawn rates are generally increased.
As an additional bonus, there are also double XP for evolving Pokémon.
Are there Shiny Shuppet? Since the Halloween Event 2017, you can catch Shuppet in its shiny form. You can recognize it easily, as it is red instead of gray.
Is the event worth it? From a usability standpoint, Shuppet is not interesting. Its final evolution, Banette, is not strong.
However, Shiny hunters will surely find it worthwhile. Outside of the Halloween Event, Shuppet is quite rare. So you could take advantage of your chances for a Shiny here.
Shuppet does appear quite frequently during the Halloween Event, but during the Spotlight Hour, you obviously have the best chances. After all, it will be almost everywhere.
What happens next? This is the last Spotlight Hour in October. However, in November, it will continue every Tuesday with new Pokémon in the spotlight.
