What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday evening, a Spotlight Hour starts in Pokémon GO. Each event focuses on a specific Pokémon and is accompanied by a bonus. During the hour, trainers will find many specimens of this Pokémon and can use the bonus to increase their supplies of Candy, Stardust, or their experience points.
Today, the Pokémon Tuska, a Grass-type, is in the spotlight. It comes from the third generation of games. There is also a Candy Bonus.
Spotlight Hour with Tuska – Start, Shiny, Bonus
When does it start? As you already know from past events, the Spotlight Hour begins again at 6:00 PM local time. You have 60 minutes to take advantage of the event, as the Spotlight Hour ends at 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are there? During the Spotlight Hour, you will encounter Tuska nearly everywhere in the wild. If you use incense, it will primarily attract Tuska. Additionally, you will receive double the amount of Candy for catching Pokémon.
So, if you don’t necessarily want to collect Tuska Candy, you can also complete raids during the event time and secure double Candy for legendary Pokémon while catching them.
Can Shiny Tuska be caught? No, Shiny Tuska has not been released in Pokémon GO yet.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it today?
How strong is Tuska? Neither Tuska nor its evolution Noktuska are particularly strong. In trainer battles (PvP), the two do not have much to say. Also, in raids (PvE), there are far better attackers. So, you should not utilize the Spotlight Hour if you are hoping for strong attackers.
Unfortunately, today’s event is also uninteresting for Shiny hunters.
Use the event primarily if you want to collect Candy and combine it with raids if you want to farm more Candy from specific raid bosses.
