What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday evening, the Spotlight Hour takes place in Pokémon GO. However, the Pokémon in the spotlight changes every week. The bonuses that are active during the event rotate week by week. During the event hour, nearly all spawns in the wild are limited to the event Pokémon.

When does it start? As usual, the Spotlight Hour starts today at 6:00 PM. The event will be active for one hour and is expected to end around 7:00 PM.
These bonuses are active: During the event, you will find Traumato from Pokémon GO in nearly every wild location. A good chance if you still need Pokémon or Shinys for your collection.
In addition, you will receive double experience points for evolving Pokémon. So if you have saved up a few Pokémon for evolving and still need XP for level-ups, you can benefit from this as well.
Is there a Shiny Traumato? Yes. You can collect Traumato and its evolution Hypno in their shiny form since 2018, with luck. They returned to the game with the Psycho Event in October 2018.
How good are Traumato and Hypno?

Traumato is not a special attacker or defender in Pokémon GO. Its evolution Hypno plays a role in the PvP league, more specifically in the Great League. Hypno performs really strong there with a moveset of Confusion and Ice Punch or Focus Blast. It reaches the second highest tier in the Great League ranking (via Gamepress.gg).
