Spotlight Hour on October 25 – Start, Bonuses, Shiny
When does it start? The event begins at the usual time of 6:00 PM and lasts for one hour. The event should end as planned at 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are there? During the event, you will encounter Shuppet almost everywhere in the wild. If you light a incense, it will also attract the event Pokémon more frequently.
Additionally, you will receive double experience points when you evolve Pokémon.
An additional bonus was actually planned, where Zorua would appear during the spotlight hour – but that was canceled. An error caused Niantic to completely disable the spawns.
Is there shiny Shuppet? Yes, you can catch shiny Shuppet in Pokémon GO and, with a bit of luck, encounter one during the spotlight hour today.
Is the spotlight hour worth it today? The event would have been 100% worth it if the release of the new Zorua had gone ahead. Unfortunately, one has to do without it and “only” has the spotlight hour with Shuppet.
