What is a Spotlight Hour? For trainers in Pokémon GO, a short event called Spotlight Hour takes place every Tuesday. During this time, one Pokémon is in the spotlight and spawns more frequently in the wild. Additionally, you can expect a weekly changing bonus.
Today you can look forward to the Pokémon Raffel during the Spotlight Hour. Furthermore, you can expect double candy for sending Pokémon.
Spotlight Hour with Raffel – Start Time and Bonus
When does it start? The Spotlight Hour starts today, August 24, 2021, at 6:00 PM local time. The event lasts exactly one hour and ends at 7:00 PM.
This is today’s bonus: As in every week, the Spotlight Hour brings you an additional bonus in addition to the Pokémon during the event. Today, you can look forward to double candy when sending Pokémon.
Of course, numerous Raffel will also appear on your map in-game. If you want to increase the spawn count even more to catch as many specimens as possible, you can also use incense and/or a lure module. These will also attract the monsters.
Are there Shiny Raffel? No, Shiny Raffel is currently not available to be caught in the game.
Is the Spotlight Hour with Raffel worth it?
The normal Pokémon Raffel has only been available in the game for a few days. It originates from the Galar region and fits into the current Sword and Shield theme as part of the 3rd Hyperbonus event. With 50 candies, you can also evolve Raffel into Schlaraffel.
How strong will it be? According to the overview from PvPoke, Raffel tends to have poor stats in attack, stamina, and defense (via pvpoke.com). It is therefore quite uninteresting for raids and the PvP League. This is different for its evolution Schlaraffel.
This monster has good stamina. The attack and defense stats are only average. However, it is still very well suited for the Ultra League according to PvPoke (via pvpoke.com).
Who is it worth it for? Since Raffel is still completely new in the game, you should use the Spotlight Hour if you still need a Raffel or Schlaraffel for your Pokédex. If you want a strong Schlaraffel for the Ultra League, you should also take this opportunity. For shiny hunters, however, today’s event is rather not that interesting.
