Spotlight Hour with Parfi – Start, Shiny, and Bonuses
When does the event start? The Spotlight Hour begins today, on February 8th, at 6:00 PM local time. You can play the event for one hour until it ends at 7:00 PM.
These are the bonuses: Typically, during Spotlight Hours, Event Pokémon spawn in almost every corner of the wild. So expect many Parfi spawns. Anyone who wants to increase their yield can ignite incense, which will also attract Parfi.
As an additional bonus, you will receive double the amount of Stardust for catching Pokémon. Even if you don’t necessarily want to catch Parfi, it is still worthwhile to replenish your dust reserves.
If you want to evolve some of your catches, you can save yourself some incense. Because there is a trick for evolving Parfi.
Is there Shiny Parfi? No, you cannot catch Shiny Parfi in Pokémon GO.
Is the Spotlight Hour with Parfi worth it?
For whom is it worthwhile? Parfi is not particularly strong in PvP (Trainer battles) or PvE (Raids). Its evolution, Parfinesse, plays in the midfield at least in the Super and Hyper League, but has many stronger alternatives. Therefore, Parfi and Parfinesse are mainly considered entries for your PokéDex.
The Stardust bonus, on the other hand, is something you should definitely take advantage of. If you want, you can activate a Star Piece and receive even more dust for catching.
