What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday evening, a Spotlight Hour starts in Pokémon GO. For 60 minutes, a specific Pokémon is in focus, which the developers determine at the beginning of each month.
Today, you will encounter more Myrapla from the first generation during the event. It can evolve into Duflor and Giflor or Blubella. Additionally, there is a bonus that gives you more Stardust.
Spotlight Hour on April 19 with Myrapla – Content
When does it start? The Spotlight Hour starts today at the usual time of 6:00 PM local time. It will be active for one hour and ends at 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are there? During the event time, you will encounter Myrapla in many places in the wild. If you want even more spawns, you can light a incense module during that time, which will primarily attract the event Pokémon.
Additionally, there is a bonus that gives you double Stardust for catching Pokémon. If you light a Star Piece, you can further increase your yield.
Can you catch Shiny Myrapla? Yes, the Pokémon is already available as shiny in the game. If you are very lucky, you might encounter a shiny specimen during the Spotlight Hour.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it today?
How strong will it be: You can most likely use Giflor and Blubella, but the two perform at best in the middle range in PvP battles. Many trainers will participate in the event mainly for the Stardust bonus.
In raid battles, Myrapla and its evolutions are unfortunately not really worthwhile either. There are many stronger attackers.
