In Pokémon GO the Spotlight Hour with Mangunior starts today, July 25th. We show you everything about the bonus, shiny, and the start of the event in summary.
What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday evening, a Spotlight Hour takes place in Pokémon GO. For the duration of 60 minutes, a Pokémon is in focus, appearing significantly more frequently in the wild. At the same time, a bonus is active that can give you more candies, stardust, or experience points. Niantic determines the combination of Pokémon and bonus active at the beginning of each month.
Today, you will encounter the Pokémon Mangunior from the seventh generation during the Spotlight Hour.
Spotlight Hour on July 25th – Start, Shiny, Bonuses
When does it start? The event starts as always at 6:00 PM local time and is active for one hour. At 7:00 PM, the spawns in the wild should normalize again.
What bonuses are there? During the event period, you will encounter Mangunior much more frequently. If you want more encounters, you can help with smoke.

Can you catch Shiny Mangunior? Yes, you can catch the shiny version of Mangunior in Pokémon GO. However, be aware that the chances are not increased during the Spotlight Hour. You will need a lot of luck to find a shiny.

Is the Spotlight Hour worth it today? Mangunior and its evolution Manguspektor are not strong attackers in Pokémon GO. If you want to build a valuable team, you can ignore these Pokémon. Many trainers will use the RL hour today to tidy up their collection with the candy bonus.
