Today, on June 1, 2021, the Spotlight Hour featuring Lithomith starts in Pokémon GO. We will see who the event is worth it for.
This is a Spotlight Hour: This event regularly takes place on Tuesday evenings in Pokémon GO. During the Spotlight Hour, a specific Pokémon is highlighted, which then spawns significantly more frequently. In addition, there is always a small bonus that you can secure.
This week you will find the Pokémon Lithomith in the Spotlight Hour. It comes from the fifth generation of the game and belongs to the Rock and Bug types.
Spotlight Hour with Lithomith – Start Time and Bonuses
When does it start? As usual, the Spotlight Hour starts at 6:00 PM. From this time, Lithomith will appear everywhere, until it ends again at 7:00 PM.
Afterward, the regular spawns will appear again, which fit the newly started season of Discovery.
This is the bonus: During the Spotlight Hour, you will receive double catch XP. This means you should catch as many monsters as possible if you want to boost your XP account. If you use a Lucky Egg during this time, you can further increase the XP count for the caught Pokémon.
Lithomith is the base form of Castelith, which you can evolve for 50 candies. However, both monsters do not play a significant role in Pokémon battles. Neither as an Arena or Raid counter, nor as PvP monsters are they suitable.
Is there Shiny Lithomith? Yes, you have been able to get Shiny Lithomith for some time now. It has been available since the Bug Catching event in June 2020. It is characterized only by a slight change in color:
Is today’s Spotlight Hour worth it? Primarily, today’s Spotlight Hour is good for gathering XP and thus securing some points on the way to the next level. Additionally, shiny hunters can benefit who do not yet own a Shiny Lithomith. With many spawns occurring, one might get lucky and encounter the shiny version.
In terms of battles, however, today’s Spotlight Hour is less worthwhile. Lithomith and Castelith are not Pokémon that you should necessarily include in your battle teams.
