Today, April 11, the Spotlight Hour with Shellder starts in Pokémon GO. We will show you everything about the bonus, Shinies, and the times of the event.
What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday, a Spotlight Hour takes place in Pokémon GO. For 60 minutes, a Pokémon selected by Niantic is in focus and can be found almost everywhere in the wild. This is accompanied by a bonus that grants you more XP, Stardust, or Candy. The Pokémon and bonus change from week to week.
In today’s event, you will encounter Shellder, which originates from the Kanto region. Additionally, there are more Candies and lots of Stardust. Today’s Spotlight Hour is special because it is worthwhile due to two resources.
Spotlight Hour on April 11 – Start, Bonuses, Shiny
When does it start? As always, it kicks off at 6:00 PM. You can make use of the bonuses until 7:00 PM. After that, the event ends, and a new one will start next Tuesday.
What bonuses are there? You will find Shellder very frequently in the wild. They are located in many places and spawn almost everywhere. Those who want to increase encounters even further can activate a Lure Module to attract more specimens.
Additionally, you will receive double the amount of Candy for sending Pokémon.
This is the second Spotlight Hour in April 2023. Two more events of this kind will kick off this month. In the overview, you can see what else to expect:
Can you catch Shiny Shellder? Yes, the shiny version of Shellder has been active in Pokémon GO for a long time. If you’re lucky, you can catch it during today’s Spotlight Hour. However, the chances of this are not increased.
Is it worth attending the Spotlight Hour today? If you’re looking for a strong attacker, you should think of Shellder’s evolution. Because Austos plays in the upper midfield in the Hyper League in PvP. However, it is not particularly useful in raids.
A much more important point is that Shellder is among the Pokémon that bring more Stardust when caught.
If you also activate Star Pieces during the event, you can significantly fill your Stardust supply. Depending on how actively you play, you should get several 100,000 dust out of it.
The bonus for sending Candies is useful to efficiently tidy up your collection. This way, you can get more Candies and lots of Stardust at today’s event.
