In Pokémon GO today, on November 29th, the Spotlight Hour starts with Hoothoot. We will show you everything about the bonuses, shinies, and times of the event.
What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday, a so-called Spotlight Hour takes place in Pokémon GO. From 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time, a Pokémon is in focus and appears significantly more often in the wild. This is accompanied by a bonus that enhances the event.
Today, the Spotlight Hour features the Pokémon Hoothoot and a bonus that grants you more XP.
Spotlight Hour on November 29th – Start, Bonuses, Shiny
When does it start? As always, the Spotlight Hour today starts at 6:00 PM. It will be active for 60 minutes and ends at 7:00 PM, provided there are no issues. In New Zealand, the Spotlight Hour started with Teddiursa and not with Hoothoot. Due to the error, the event was extended by half an hour in the affected time zones.
What bonuses are available? During the event, you will encounter Hoothoot almost everywhere in the wild. If you wish, you can use incense to attract even more Pokémon of this species.
Additionally, you will receive double the amount of experience points for evolving Pokémon. This applies even to Pokémon that are not Hoothoot.
The next Spotlight Hour will then take place in December. We have the overview for you:
Is there Shiny Hoothoot? Yes, you can catch shiny Hoothoot in Pokémon GO. With luck, you may encounter one during today’s Spotlight Hour. However, the chances are not increased.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it today? If you are looking for strong attackers for PvP battles, Noctowl can be a good choice in certain cases. In the Great League, it performs quite well. In the Ultra League, Noctowl lands roughly in the middle tier. The Pokémon are not particularly interesting for raids.
Alternatively, you can evolve Pokémon and earn more XP for that.
