Today, on August 2, a Spotlight Hour with Hisui Voltorb starts in Pokémon GO. We will show you everything about the Stardust bonus, the start of the event, and whether you can catch a Shiny.
What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday evening, a Spotlight Hour runs in Pokémon GO from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. During this time, a Pokémon selected by Niantic is in focus and appears nearly everywhere in the wild.
Today the focus is on Hisui Voltorb, which is accompanied by a bonus that gives you more Stardust. We will show you everything you need to know about the event.
Spotlight Hour on August 2 – Start, Bonuses & Shiny
When does the Spotlight Hour start? As you know from previous events, the hour starts at 6:00 PM local time. Around 7:00 PM, the event will end. The spawns should return to normal and the Stardust bonus will be disabled.
What bonuses are there? For catching Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of Stardust. This applies to all Pokémon you catch during the event time. Hisui Voltorb will spawn in nearly every spot in the wild.
Is there a Shiny Hisui Voltorb? No, the shiny version of this special Voltorb form cannot currently be caught in Pokémon GO.
Is the Spotlight Hour with Hisui Voltorb worth it?
What you need to know: The new Hisui form of Voltorb is still quite “new” in the game. It was released in Pokémon GO in January 2022. Those who didn’t play at that time now have the chance to catch many of them.
Even if you are not interested in the Pokémon, you can use the 60 minutes to collect Stardust. The hour is definitely worth it for that.
