What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday evening, a Spotlight Hour runs in Pokémon GO for 60 minutes. At the beginning of the month, the team from Niantic decides which Pokémon will appear over the next weeks. One of them is then the focus on Tuesdays and appears significantly more often in the wild.
Such an event is accompanied by a bonus that gives more XP, Stardust or candies. Today you will encounter the Pokémon Fleknoil from the fifth generation of games. It is of the Flying and Psychic types and can evolve into Fletiamo.
Spotlight Hour on February 14 – Start, Bonuses, Shiny
When does it start? The Spotlight Hour starts again at the usual time today at 6:00 PM. The event lasts for an hour and ends at 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are there? In the wild, you will often encounter Fleknoil. If you want more spawns of the Pokémon, you can also activate incense.

Can you catch shiny Fleknoil? Yes, the shiny form of Fleknoil is already available and can be caught in Pokémon GO. With a bit of luck, you might encounter it today during the Spotlight Hour. However, keep in mind that the shiny chances, unlike during a Community Day, are not increased.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it today? If you are hoping for strong attackers during today’s Spotlight Hour, you will not be lucky. Fleknoil and Fletiamo are not strong fighters. Neither in raids nor in PvP.
