What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday evening, a Spotlight Hour begins in Pokémon GO. For 60 minutes, a specific Pokémon is in the spotlight. You will find it almost everywhere in the wild during the event period. Additionally, there is a bonus that further enhances the event.
In today’s Spotlight Hour, the Pokémon Diglett from the first generation is in focus. It is a Ground type and can evolve into Dugtrio.
Spotlight Hour with Diglett – Start, Bonuses and Shiny
When does it start? As you know from previous events of this kind, the Spotlight Hour begins at 6:00 PM German time. The event lasts for the next 60 minutes and should end around 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are there? Almost at every spawn point in the wild, you will find Diglett during the event. If you light a incense, primarily Diglett will appear.
Additionally, there is a bonus on Stardust. For catching Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of Stardust.
Keep in mind that this bonus affects all Pokémon captures, not just Diglett.
Can you catch Shiny Diglett? Yes, you have the chance to find and catch Shiny Diglett. In the following graphic, we show you the comparison to regular and shiny Diglett.
Is the Spotlight Hour with Diglett worth it?
It’s that strong: We have looked at the battle values of Diglett and Dugtrio in Pokémon GO. Unfortunately, both Pokémon are not particularly interesting in PvP trainer battles or in PvE raids. There is simply too much strong competition among Ground attackers like Garchomp, Rhyperior, or Groudon.
That’s why the event is worth it: Apart from Diglett, there is a good Stardust bonus. If you use the hour, you can replenish your dust reserves.
