In Pokémon GO the Spotlight Hour with Chelast starts today, November 16. A bonus of extra Stardust is coming your way. We show you everything about the start, Shiny, and content, as well as who should participate in the event today.
What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday evening, a Spotlight Hour starts in Pokémon GO. During each of these events, a specific Pokémon takes the spotlight and is accompanied by a bonus. During the hour, trainers will find many specimens of this Pokémon and can take advantage of the bonus to increase their supplies of candies, Stardust, or experience points.
Today, the Pokémon Chelast of the Grass type is in the spotlight. It comes from the fourth generation of games. A Stardust bonus awaits you.
Spotlight Hour with Chelast – Start, Shiny, Bonus
When does it start? You already know the start time from past events. The Spotlight Hour begins again at 6:00 PM local time. You have 60 minutes to make the most of the event, as the Spotlight Hour ends at 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are there? During the Spotlight Hour, you will encounter Chelast almost everywhere in the wild. Using incense will primarily draw in Chelast. Additionally, you will receive double Stardust for catching Pokémon.
Even if you’re not really interested in Chelast and its evolutions Chelcarain and Chelterrar, you can at least stock up on Stardust during the event.
Can you catch Shiny Chelast? Yes, you can catch Chelast as Shiny in Pokémon GO. The special thing is that you will catch Chelast today wearing the red Lucia hats. These are part of the new Sinnoh event and also affect today’s Spotlight Hour.
However, keep in mind that you cannot evolve Chelast with a hat. It remains in its base form and does not have a button for evolution.

Is the Spotlight Hour worth it today?
How strong is Chelast? Neither Chelast nor Chelcarain are particularly strong. The highest evolution, Chelterrar, is a good attacker, but there are many better Grass attackers in raids. In trainer battles, this Pokémon family does not play a significant role. So, you don’t need to participate in the event today to get strong attackers.
However, the event can be worth it if you want to catch event Pokémon like Chelast with a hat. With a bit of luck, you might even encounter Chelast as Shiny and enhance your collection. Use the event primarily to earn Stardust.
In the coming weeks, you can still participate in more Spotlight Hours and take advantage of their bonuses: All Spotlight Hours in November 2021 in Pokémon GO.
