Today, on June 13th, the Spotlight Hour featuring Bithora starts in Pokémon GO. Here we show you an overview of everything regarding the start, Shinys, and bonuses of this short event.
What kind of event is this? For years, every Tuesday evening in Pokémon GO, a so-called Spotlight Hour takes place. For the duration of 60 minutes, a Pokémon along with a bonus is in focus. What combination of monster and bonus it will be is determined by the developers month by month.
During today’s Spotlight Hour, you will encounter the Pokémon Bithora from the sixth generation of games. It is of the Water and Rock types and can evolve into Thanathora. In our overview, we show you all the details about the event.
Spotlight Hour on June 13th
When does it start? As you already know from these events, it will start again today at 6:00 PM. At 7:00 PM, the Spotlight Hour will end along with its bonuses.
What bonuses are there? Almost everywhere in the wild, you will encounter Bithora during the event time. If you want to achieve even more encounters with this Pokémon, you can activate incense.
For catching Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of candy. This applies to all Pokémon you catch during the event, not just Bithora.
Today marks the second Spotlight Hour in June 2023. We will show you an overview of the two Spotlight Hours that are still upcoming this month:
Can you catch Shiny Bithora? Yes, the shiny form of Bithora is already active in Pokémon GO and can be caught by you with some luck. However, keep in mind that the chances of Shinys are not increased during the Spotlight Hour.
Is today’s Spotlight Hour worth it? With Thanathora, you have an attacker for PvP that makes it into the lower midfield of the Super League. In the Hyper League, it even plays in the upper midfield. However, there are many alternatives that are stronger in battle.
Keep in mind that the candy bonus for catching also applies to raid bosses that you catch during the event. You will also receive the additional candies for this activity.
In the coming weeks, there are still some exciting dates ahead. You can see the overview of all events in June 2023 for Pokémon GO here.
