In Pokémon GO a new Spotlight Hour starts today, on December 5, 2023 – this time with Barschwa. We will show you everything about Shiny, the bonuses, and event times.
What kind of event is this? The Spotlight Hour takes place every Tuesday evening in Pokémon GO. For 60 minutes, you will encounter a specific Pokémon in abundance. Additionally, there is always a special bonus.
Today you will encounter Barschwa, a Water-type Pokémon from the third generation of games.
Spotlight Hour on December 5 – Start, Shiny and Bonuses
When does it start? The Spotlight Hour starts as always at 6:00 PM. After an hour, at 7:00 PM, it will again end, and the normal spawns, or the event spawns from the new route event will appear.
What bonuses are there? During the event time, you will encounter almost exclusively wild Barschwa in the wild. It will appear everywhere.
For each catch, you will receive double the amount of candies.

Can you catch Shiny Barschwa? Yes, the Shiny variant of Barschwa can be caught in Pokémon Go. However, you should keep in mind that the Shiny rate is not increased. So you need a lot of luck to see the shiny variant of Barschwa.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it today? Both Barschwa and Milotic are unfortunately not particularly strong fighters in Pokémon GO. Neither in the battle league nor in raids are they top options. So use the hour primarily if you need the Pokédex entry or want to collect candies for the Milotic evolution.
