In Pokémon GO, on July 28, the Spotlight Hour featuring Bamelin is taking place today. There is also an XP bonus. We will show you what to expect.
What is a Spotlight Hour? These are events that take place every Tuesday evening in Pokémon GO. A special Pokémon is the focus, in the “spotlight”.
There is a bonus for trainers that makes the event even more interesting. This Tuesday is all about the Water-type Pokémon Bamelin.
Spotlight Hour in July with Bamelin
When does the event take place? As always, it starts at 6:00 PM local time. The event is active for about an hour and ends around 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are there? You will encounter Bamelin significantly more often in the wild.
As a bonus, you’ll get double XP for catching Pokémon. So save some Poké Balls and catch many specimens to make the most of this bonus.
Is there a Shiny Bamelin? No. Shiny Bamelin is not available in the wild in Pokémon GO, and therefore it will not be found as Shiny tonight in Pokémon GO.
Who is this event for? For shiny hunters, the Spotlight Hour tonight is not a must-attend event. Since the shiny form is not available, one should focus on other things.
The XP bonus is interesting for many players who still need a few experience points to level up. Combined with a Lucky Egg, you will even receive four times the amount of XP per Pokémon catch during the event.
Not interested in the Spotlight Hour today? No worries, Niantic has a lot planned for the coming weeks. A event marathon in Pokémon GO is just around the corner and starts this Friday. There will be something for everyone to play for.
