In Pokémon GO there is a spotlight hour with Habitak this evening, September 22. The event seems disappointing at first glance, but is that true?
What is a spotlight hour? This event takes place every Tuesday and puts a Pokémon in the spotlight. Additionally, there is a bonus that you can take advantage of.
This time it’s all about Habitak. It is the 4 out of 5 spotlight hours in September.
Spotlight hour is boring – But why?
When does it start? As usual, the hour starts at 6:00 PM local time. You can take advantage of the bonuses until 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are there? Of course, the spawns are generally increased again, and you will find Habitak everywhere. In addition, there are double XP for evolving Pokémon.
Why is there criticism? Both the Pokémon and the bonus are disappointing for many trainers. Habitak cannot be shiny, so you can only hunt a weak Pokémon that is already quite common.
The double XP for evolutions is also not beneficial. You can make about 140,000 XP in an hour if you evolve fully and use a lucky egg, but that is relatively low. For a normal ultra friend, you get instead 100,000 XP and have to spend significantly less. For many, therefore, the XP and the max level are not worth much anymore.
There is a lot of criticism on various channels. A user on Twitter writes: “How can you implement non-shiny Habitak as this complete waste of time?”
Another user says: “I won’t waste any of my time on this non-shiny.”
So is it not worth it at all? If you’re still hunting for experience points, you should play the hour comfortably from the sofa. There you can evolve some Pokémon and collect XP.
If you don’t need XP as urgently, you can skip the hour comfortably. The following week it will get exciting again when a shiny comes with Eneco.
However, another event also started today in Pokémon GO. There you can primarily catch large Pokémon and you should take advantage of some great bonuses.
