On Pokémon GO, the next Spotlight Hour will take place on April 2, 2024. We summarize everything important about the start and the bonuses.
What kind of event is this? The Spotlight Hour is one of the regular events in Pokémon GO, usually taking place on Tuesdays. For 60 minutes, a Pokémon will appear significantly more frequently. You’ll find it almost everywhere. Additionally, there is always a special Spotlight bonus.
This week, the Spotlight Pokémon is Zubat. It is a first-generation Pokémon belonging to the Poison and Flying types. It evolves into Golbat and Iksbat.
Things to keep in mind: Zubat is quite tricky to catch in Pokémon GO, as it has a small catch circle and flutters around the screen quite restlessly. If you want to calm it down a bit, use Nanab Berries to make the catch easier.
Spotlight Hour on April 2, 2024 – Start and Bonuses in Pokémon GO
When does the Spotlight Hour start? It begins on April 2, 2024, at 6:00 PM. At this time, Zubat will appear everywhere in the game until 7:00 PM. Then the standard spawns of the current season ‘World Full of Wonders’ will return.
What bonus is active? During the Spotlight Hour, you will receive double candy for all Pokémon you send to the professor. So, if you plan to send some monsters and secure the candies for leveling up stronger specimens, do this during the Spotlight Hour.
Is there Shiny Zubat? Yes, Shiny Zubat is in the game and can also be caught during the Spotlight Hour. However, keep in mind that the chance of encountering it is not increased. So, you’ll need a lot of luck.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it? Neither Zubat, Golbat, nor Iksbat are particularly strong in Pokémon GO. This applies to both PvE raids and the PvP battle league. So, if you miss the catch, you shouldn’t be too upset. However, if you still need specimens for the Pokédex, you can collect a lot of candy for Zubat and its evolutions today.
The sending bonus is, however, always quite useful. If you have many monsters in your collection that you don’t use, send them tonight.
