In Pokémon GO, the next Spotlight Hour is waiting for you. With it comes Magnemite and an XP bonus.
What kind of event is this? The Spotlight Hour is an event that occurs every week. There, a Pokémon will appear in very high numbers for 60 minutes.
Additionally, there is a bonus that is active during the event.
During the next Spotlight Hour, Magnemite will be waiting for you. The Pokémon from the 1st generation has the types Electric and Steel. It can evolve into Magneton and then into Magnezone.
Spotlight Hour on August 27 – Start and Bonuses
When does the Spotlight Hour start? As usual, the Spotlight Hour starts at 6:00 PM. 60 minutes later, at 7:00 PM, it will end again.
What bonuses are active? During the next Spotlight Hour, there will be an experience points bonus waiting for you. If you evolve the event Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of experience points.
Can you catch a Shiny Magnemite? Yes, you can encounter the Shiny variant of Magnemite as well. The chance is not increased, but due to the high number of Magnemite spawns, you will have several opportunities.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it? If you evolve Magnemite into its final form, Magnezone, you will get a strong Electric attacker for raids. Both the regular and the Shadow variant of the Pokémon are on the list of the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
In the Battle League, however, Magnemite and its evolutions may perform less well. For that, you should rather rely on other monsters.
If you have collected many Pokémon that you want to evolve, you can make optimal use of the event to earn some extra experience points during the evolutions. By using Lucky Eggs, you can further increase the experience points.
