What kind of event is this? The Spotlight Hour is a regular event that takes place every week on Tuesday. During this event, there is at least one Pokémon that is in the spotlight and appears in large numbers.
There is also always a bonus active during the spawns, which is also part of the small event.
Which Pokémon is it about? Iscalar will be the Pokémon of this Spotlight Hour. This monster comes from the 6th generation and has the types Dark and Psychic. It can evolve into Calamanero. However, to carry out the evolution, you will need to apply a small trick.
Spotlight Hour on February 18 – Start and Bonuses
When does the Spotlight Hour start? As every week, the Spotlight Hour begins at 6:00 PM and ends at 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are active? During the Spotlight Hour, there is a bonus for catching Pokémon. For this, you receive double the amount of experience points. Which monster you catch does not matter – the bonus applies to any catch.
If you use Lucky Eggs, you can further increase the bonus and even receive four times the amount of experience points when you catch a Pokémon.
Can you catch Shiny-Iscalar? Yes, you can also encounter the Shiny variant of Iscalar if you are lucky.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it? If you are looking for strong Pokémon for your raid teams, you might want to be cautious about relying on Iscalar and Calamanero.
In the Battle League, however, Calamanero can definitely be used. It can be found in the upper midfield of the best Pokémon for the Super and Hyper Leagues.
If you are currently collecting experience points, this event could be worth it for you to gain an additional amount of XP through the bonus.
