The next Spotlight Hour in Pokémon GO takes place today. We will show you all the information about the event with Mangunior on January 28, 2025.
What is the Spotlight Hour? This event runs every week, always on Tuesday. For one hour, a Pokémon is put in the namesake spotlight. It then appears everywhere in the wilderness of Pokémon GO. You have 60 minutes to secure strong specimens.
At the same time, there is always a bonus that is supposed to make the hour a bit more interesting.
This week: The Pokémon of the day is Mangunior. It belongs to the Normal type and has an evolution: Manguspektor. On top of that, today there is the Sending Bonus: You will receive double candies for all Pokémon you send to the professor during the Spotlight Hour.
Spotlight Hour with Mangunior – Start, Info, Bonuses
When does the Spotlight Hour start? The event starts today, on January 28, 2025, at 6:00 PM. Then there will be 60 minutes of Mangunior spawns before we continue with the usual spawns.
Is there Shiny Mangunior? Yes, Mangunior is also available in the Shiny variant. Here’s what it looks like:
However, keep in mind that there is no increased shiny chance for Mangunior. It is just as rare as usual. However, due to the massive appearance of the Pokémon tonight, it is a good opportunity if you want to try to find it. Luck is definitely needed.
Is Mangunior worth it? To some extent, because neither Mangunior nor Manguspektor are particularly strong Pokémon. Neither is worth it as a raid or PvP attacker. You can find significantly better alternatives in the list of the best attackers. So it’s worth catching mainly if you need the Pokédex entry or want to collect the shiny or a 4-star variant of the monster.
Is the bonus worth it? The Sending Bonus is especially nice when you want to clear out your Pokémon box in order to catch more afterwards. You get double candies for each sent monster, so you can stock up your candy supply a bit. It’s always helpful to tag your Pokémon with tags beforehand, so you don’t have to sort through endlessly during such an hour before you know what you want to send.
Mangunior concludes the Spotlight Hours this month, it is the last event of its kind in January. However, next month continues with the next Spotlight Hours.
