The next Spotlight Hour is coming up in Pokémon GO. A small, heart-shaped monster is waiting for you.
What kind of event is this? The Spotlight Hour is a weekly event that takes place every Tuesday. In addition to one or more featured Pokémon, there is a bonus waiting for you here.
On February 11, Luvdisc will be the focus of the Spotlight Hour. The Water-type Pokémon is from Generation 3 and has no evolutions.
Spotlight Hour on February 11 – Start and Bonuses
When does the Spotlight Hour start? As usual, the Spotlight Hour starts at 6:00 PM. The event will end again 60 minutes later, at 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are active? During the event, there will be a bonus on Stardust. If you catch Pokémon here, you will receive double the amount of Stardust.
By using Star Pieces, you can further increase the bonus and obtain triple the amount of Stardust per catch. It doesn’t matter which Pokémon you catch.
Can you catch Shiny Luvdisc? Yes, with a bit of luck, you might encounter the Shiny variant of Luvdisc as well. However, the chance is not increased.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it? Luvdisc is not a strong attacker and therefore does not rank among the best attackers in Pokémon GO. You should rather rely on other Pokémon in both raids and the battle league.
If you are looking to collect Stardust, you can use the event to replenish your stock.
If you are a shiny collector, then the event might also be interesting for you. Despite the unenhanced chance for a Shiny Luvdisc, you have a better opportunity due to the high number of spawns than you would normally.
In February, not only the Spotlight Hours are waiting for you in Pokémon GO. There are many other events, strong monsters, and content. If you want to get an overview, take a look at our list of all events in February 2025 in Pokémon GO.
