Once again, the Spotlight Hour is approaching in Pokémon GO. This time, there will be a strong bonus alongside Bithora.
What kind of event is this? The Spotlight Hour is a recurring event that takes place every week on Tuesday. During this event, there is one Pokémon that takes center stage and appears in very high numbers in the wild.
Additionally, there is a bonus associated with the Pokémon that is activated during the short event.
In the upcoming Spotlight Hour on July 16, 2024, Bithora will be the star of the hour. This Pokémon from Generation 6 has the types Rock and Water. When you evolve it, you will receive the Pokémon Thanathora.
Spotlight Hour on July 16 – Start and Bonuses
When does the Spotlight Hour start? As usual, the Spotlight Hour starts at 6:00 PM and will end after 60 minutes at 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are active? If you send Pokémon to the Professor during the Spotlight Hour, you can enjoy the event bonus. You will receive double the amount of candies.
Can you catch Shiny Bithora? Yes, if you are lucky, you may encounter and catch the Shiny variant of Bithora during the event.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it? For use in battle leagues and raids, Bithora and its evolution are not suitable. They do not play a role in either area and cannot be found in the list of the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
However, if you want to send Pokémon that have accumulated over time or that you saved from the GO Fest 2024, then the bonus is ideal for you. With double the amount of candies, you can earn some extra candies compared to regular sending.
If you are collecting Pokémon for this bonus in the long term, it can actually be very useful to tag the corresponding Pokémon and wait for the next Spotlight Hour with the bonus.
