In Pokémon GO the next Spotlight Hour is around the corner. This time, there are 3 Pokémon and an XP bonus waiting for you.
What kind of event is this? The Spotlight Hour is an event that takes place every Tuesday. During this event, one or more Pokémon are in focus and appear almost everywhere during the event.
Additionally, there is a bonus for the Pokémon, which is also active during the event time.
In the next Spotlight Hour, 3 Pokémon are waiting for you: Gastly, Shuppet, and Litwick. All three Pokémon are Ghost-type, and Litwick is also a Fire-type.
Spotlight Hour on October 22 – Start and Bonuses
When does the Spotlight Hour start? As always, the Spotlight Hour begins at 6:00 PM and ends an hour later at 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are active? If you catch Pokémon during the Spotlight Hour, you will receive double the amount of experience points. It doesn’t matter which Pokémon you catch. The bonus applies to every catch.
Can you catch the Pokémon as Shiny? Yes. All 3 Pokémon are already available in their Shiny forms in Pokémon GO. With a bit of luck, you might be able to snag one or two Shiny.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it? You can collect one or two additions for your team during the Spotlight Hour.
If you evolve Gastly into Gengar, you will get a Ghost attacker that is weaker than other Pokémon but can strengthen your team if you have weaknesses there. While the Shadow version is slightly better, with Mega Gengar you even get a very strong attacker.
You can even use Mega Gengar as a Poison attacker, making it the strongest attacker of this type.
Litwick can be evolved into Chandelure. This monster is a decent Pokémon as both a Ghost and a Fire attacker, although it is not among the top best attackers in Pokémon GO.
The final evolution of Shuppet, Banette, is not particularly good as a raider but can shine in the battle league. If you use it in the Ultra League, you get one of the best Pokémon in the league.
