After about 20 years, Pokémon fans are turning to a mystery related to the Pokémon Mew. Back on the playgrounds, it was said that you should push a truck aside to discover the secret Pokémon.
Now, Pokémon GO has developed a research feature – trainers are actively using it and seeing that Mew is indeed found under trucks.

Those who played the red or blue edition of Pokémon back then might still remember the rumor about Mew. Children were telling each other on the playground that the mythical Pokémon Mew could be found under a truck near the M.S. Anne.
As a way to catch the monster, one was supposed to use one of their Pokémon to employ the “Strength” ability to push the truck aside – after that, Mew would be free. This rumor was widespread, but unfortunately completely nonsense.

Last week, the augmented reality game Pokémon GO received a major update that unlocked research tasks. Trainers can participate in field and special research and receive rewards for doing so. The reward for the special research, where trainers are supposed to catch special monster types or use specific throwing techniques, is the discovery of Mew.
When it became known that one could actually catch Mew now, the community immediately spoke of paying tribute to the old myth. Through AR technology, you can photograph your Pokémon encounters in the real world. And so many trainers caught the mythical Pokémon now, just as the rumor suggested, under trucks.
Back then, many players believed in the Mew myth because the Pokémon could not be found through a “normal” encounter. Actually, Mew was not supposed to appear in the red or blue edition, but somehow made it into the games at the last minute with the help of the developers.
