By achieving the Gold goal of the Catch Challenge in Pokémon GO, Porenta visits us in Europe. But the monster stays with us only for a short time.
In the past few days, Pokémon GO trainers have been busy catching a large number of wild monsters in the wilderness. The developers initiated a challenge that unlocks a specific monster worldwide that is normally only found in Asia.
Anyone who wants to enrich their PokéDex with this Pokémon should hurry.
Porenta is only here for a few more hours – Departure on Tuesday morning
During the worldwide catch event, the developers encouraged players to catch as many Pokémon as possible. The event was divided into three categories: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. The categories were associated with rewards such as double experience points, more stardust, extended incense, and increased Pokémon spawns.
The big Gold goal was achieved with 3 billion Pokémon catches. As a reward, Pokémon GO unlocked Porenta worldwide. In Europe, we could rarely see the Pokémon with Plant Stalk in gyms. This is because it is a regional Pokémon that is otherwise only found in Asia. For players in Asia, the developers unlocked the regional Pokémon Kangama, which we have already been able to find and catch in Safari events in Europe.
However, Porenta only appears for a short time worldwide. According to the official announcement, this special monster reward is only supposed to last for 48 hours. On Tuesday, November 28th, at 01:51 AM, these 48 hours would be up.
Whether Niantic adheres to its numbers exactly and really deactivates the spawns after exactly two days or extends them by a few hours is currently unclear. We are assuming, just to be sure, that there will be no more Porenta spawns outside of Asia after 01:51 AM on Tuesday morning. Therefore, you should hurry if you want to catch a few specimens.
Other rewards, such as double experience points and stardust rewards, will last until December 1st (presumably at 10:00 PM German time). In the Pokémon GO shop, you can also find special offer boxes that are available until December 4th.
