The new season of Pokémon GO once again brings a special research task. MeinMMO shows you what tasks and rewards await you here.
What kind of research is this? The new season Memories in Motion started on March 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM in Pokémon GO. As usual, the season lasts about 3 months and ends on June 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
If you log into the game during the season, you will receive a new special research task titled Rising Pressure. Here you can receive the mysterious monster Volcanion if you haven’t received it yet. If you already have the monster, you will instead receive candies.
Why do I not have the research? If you do not receive it upon logging in to the game, it is because you have not yet completed the special research “Glitz and Glam” with Diancie, which you could have received in 2024. If you see this in your special researches, first complete it to receive the new research.

Special Research “Pressure Rising” (1/6)

Special Research “Pressure Rising” (2/6)

Stage reward: As a reward for this step, you will receive 5 Volcanion stickers, 25 Volcanion candies. If you do not have Volcanion yet, you will also receive an encounter with the monster here. If you already have it, you will receive 25 additional Volcanion candies.

Stage reward: Once you have completed the last step of the special research, there will also be 1 XL Rare Candy, 5 Volcanion candies, and 2,025 experience points waiting for you.
