In Pokémon GO there will soon be major changes to raids. You will be able to invite friends who can then participate in the raids from anywhere.
This was announced: Remote raids can soon be done in Pokémon GO from anywhere. Niantic has announced invites for trainers.
This changes raiding significantly, as you can always ensure that you have enough trainers in the raid.
Invited Raids – Here’s How It Works
This is the system: When you enter a raid lobby, you will soon find a plus symbol there. You can invite up to 5 friends. They will receive the invitation via push notification and on the “Nearby” screen.
The invited trainers can then simply join the lobby, no matter where they are. Of course, they will still need to invest a raid pass, but only at the expiration of the timer. This feature is also new and was recently leaked.
What does this mean for you? The criticism of the remote raids so far has been that you needed to see the gyms with the raids. This is no longer the case with the invitations; only one trainer needs to see the gym.
Additionally, you will only need to invest your pass when you actually have enough players in the lobby.
This will also come: As another new feature, Pokémon GO announces stickers. You can simply attach these stickers to your gifts for your friends.
However, it seems that the stickers only have a cosmetic use. You will not gain any gameplay advantages just because you use the stickers.
When will the features arrive? This is still not entirely clear. Niantic only states that the raid feature will be available after the disappearance of Reshiram – which means not until after June 16.
In general, they speak of the features being released in the summer. So we may still have to wait a while before they are actually implemented.
Until then, we can enjoy 2 events that will start in June.
