New boxes are currently appearing in the shop in Pokémon GO. Some trainers found a special box that costs a lot of coins.
Here’s what’s happening in Pokémon GO: The boxes in the shop are periodically exchanged. This seems to be the case again now.
Not all trainers are shown the same boxes, but rather different ones.
Now a box appeared that caught the attention of the community. Because with 7,000 coins, it is one of the most expensive boxes that Pokémon GO has ever offered.
What’s in the 7,000-coin box?
A trainer shows: In the subreddit for Pokémon GO named TheSilphRoad, trainer “oppabadboy” shared a screenshot of the new box. It is a version of the “Explorer Box”. It includes:
- 50 Super Incubators
- 50 regular Incubators
Is the offer worth it? It is one of the most expensive boxes that can be purchased in Pokémon GO. When comparing it to the 100-coin price of 0.99 cents, it comes to a value of 69.30 Euros. Considering the slightly cheaper bundle prices, the value is about between 60 and 70 Euros.
That’s a lot of money compared to other “microtransactions”, when you think about the fact that you could also buy a full-price game for that.
At the same time, regular incubators cost 150 coins, and super incubators 200 coins. With 50 units each, the box comes to a value of about 17,500 coins, which is significantly higher than the purchase price.
Accordingly, the feedback from some trainers is also as follows:
- “Good for Pokétubers and mega-whales, I assume,” writes user Fr00stee (via reddit).
- “For the price of an actual AAA game […] you get: 100 3-timer keys for your loot boxes,” writes user Peper_of_Kruidnoot (via reddit).
- “It’s a good deal, but do I really want to spend the coins on it? Not really,” writes “skelement” (via reddit).
Others say that they are indeed considering it because they have saved the necessary coins over a long time. However, some others comment that the eggs are generally not worth it, as in the end, you don’t know what hatches from them.
