Today marks the start of the Pokémon GO Smoke Day. We have compiled what content you can expect.
What kind of event is this? The Smoke Day is an irregular recurring event during which you can attract special Pokémon using Smoke. The event takes place on Sunday, May 26, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Which Shiny is waiting at the event? If you activate the Smoke item during the event, you may encounter increased numbers of Castform. This Pokémon is from Generation 5 and has the types Grass and Steel. It has another evolution with Tentacruel.
Moreover, the chance of encountering Castform as a Shiny is significantly increased during the event.
Contents of the Smoke Day
What bonuses are there at the event? During the event, there will be three different bonuses activated:
- Smoke attracts Castform with increased probability
- The chance of a Shiny Castform is increased
- The daily adventure smoke lasts twice as long when activated during the event
Which Pokémon are available at the event? Not only will Castform be attracted by your Smoke during the event. Additionally, certain Grass and Steel Pokémon will alternate every hour and can also appear. These include:
Grass Smoke Encounters:
- Hisui Voltorb*
- Tangela*
- Sprigatito*
- Smalliv*
- Petilil*
- Foongus*
Steel Smoke Encounters:
- Galar Meowth*
- Magnemite*
- Steelix*
- Bronzor*
- Darumaka*
- Togedemaru*
All Pokémon marked with an * can also appear as Shiny. The chance here is not increased like with Castform but corresponds to the normal chance. None of these Pokémon have a chance that is fundamentally increased for a Shiny.
When will the Pokémon appear? Each hour, the cluster of Pokémon you can encounter will change. Grass and Steel Pokémon will alternate.
- 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Grass Pokémon
- 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM: Steel Pokémon
- 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM: Grass Pokémon
- 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM: Steel Pokémon
- 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM: Grass Pokémon
- 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM: Steel Pokémon
What other content is available during the event? You can purchase an exclusive bundle in the in-game shop for 1 PokéCoin. This includes one Smoke item.
In line with the event, there will also be field research tasks. These will reward you with Stardust, Sananabeeren, as well as Super and Hyper Balls.
