In Pokémon GO there is a new event coming up: “Small but mighty.” This also brings a raid boss that caused trouble last year. This time, however, everyone can catch it.
What kind of monster is this? The legendary Pokémon Cupidos belongs to the so-called “forces of nature,” which also include Boreos, Voltolos, and Demeteros. It originally appeared in “Pokémon Legends: Arceus,” and last year, this “Pokémon of love” also made its debut in Pokémon GO.
The problem: It only appeared on February 14, Valentine’s Day. Additionally, it was only available in top raids. These are:
- Extremely difficult and require many trainers.
- Only challengeable in person, not via remote raid.
- And they are time-limited as well.
The raids with Cupidos then ran from 12:00 to 13:00, from 13:00 to 14:00, from 17:00 to 18:00, and from 18:00 to 19:00. So it was only available for four hours in total.
Thematically, the Pokémon fit with Valentine’s Day, but it didn’t suit the scheduling for many trainers. This led to criticism.

This is what is happening now: Almost a year later, Cupidos is returning. It will make its first appearance as part of the event “Small but mighty,” which Pokémon GO has just announced.
When will Cupidos appear? It will show up in raids starting February 6 at 10:00 AM. This is the second event day. It will then remain available as a level 5 raid boss until February 17.
So it will be available in the long term and in the easier level 5 raids. Thus, you can finally catch it if you missed it so far.
But what else does the event bring? We summarize it for you here.
