In Pokémon GO, the move for Slaking on Community Day is likely already known. The Chinese Twitter account revealed the possible move.
What kind of move is it supposed to be? According to the Twitter account, it is said to be the move “Bodyslam.” This attack is a charged move and is expected to surprise many players. There had been much expectation of a fast move instead.
Normally, the move is announced just a few days before the Community Day. This tweet may have been mistakenly posted.
Slaking with Bodyslam – Is it worth it?
How good will Slaking be with the move? Bodyslam has its pros and cons. In short: It doesn’t make a huge difference compared to the previous charged move Lick. The moves are situationally dependent.
Lick is a Fairy-type move, which is very effective against the top counters of Fighting type. If the opponent attacks Slaking with a Machamp, Lick is significantly better. It hits very effectively, which is a big advantage.
Bodyslam, on the other hand, is a Normal-type move, hence it has no weaknesses or strengths. Therefore, it is better if Bodyslam is not attacked by Fighting Pokémon.
How does Slaking learn the move? This move can only be learned on the Community Day with Bummelz. This will take place on June 8th. There, you can evolve Muntier between 3 PM and 7 PM so it can learn the special move.
What about Slaking as an attacker? As an attacker, you should definitely not use Slaking. It knows the fast move Yawn, which makes it totally useless as an attacker. Slaking is purely a defender.
What did the fans hope for? Many trainers rather hoped for a fast move for Slaking. At least it would then have a move that deals damage.
How certain can one be about the move? This confirmation is not entirely official yet. After all, it was only shared by the Chinese Twitter account. All other accounts and in-game notifications have not mentioned anything about it yet.
