Today, on November 16, 2021, the Sinnoh event has started in Pokémon GO. It brings you many bonuses and Pokémon again. Of course, cool Shinies will also be available. We from MeinMMO have looked at what to expect at the event and show you.
What kind of event is this? To celebrate the release of “Pokémon Brilliant Diamond” and “Pokémon Shining Pearl” for the Nintendo Switch, Pokémon GO is also celebrating a thematically appropriate Sinnoh event. As you know from past events, there will again be many Pokémon and bonuses.
When does the event take place? The Sinnoh event starts on November 16, 2021, at 10:00 AM local time. You will have until Sunday, November 21, 2021, at 8:00 PM local time, to take advantage of all the event benefits. There will be two different event parts:
- Pokémon Brilliant Diamond from November 16, 2021, at 10:00 AM until November 18, 2021, at 10:00 AM

All spawns and shinies
In addition to the numerous bonuses, there will also be some Pokémon to catch. You will encounter various costumed monsters and spawns in both parts of the event. Among them, there is also one or the other Shiny that you can catch with a bit of luck.
Costumed Pokémon
During the Sinnoh event, the three starter Pokémon Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup have dressed up for you. You can find them either accompanied by a Lucius Hat or a Lucia Hat. Furthermore, all costumed monsters are also available in their shiny form.
Pokémon from 7-km eggs
Additionally, the monsters from the 7-km eggs are a special feature during the Sinnoh event. As deduced from the bonuses, there is a special focus on hatching eggs during the event period. Therefore, not only is the hatch time shortened, but the 7-km eggs are also worthwhile this time.
This is mainly due to Riolu, the pre-evolution of Lucario, which is usually very hard to obtain. Lucario is among the strongest fighting attackers in Pokémon GO and is thus a very sought-after monster.
Many international trainers are also looking forward to Mime Jr. Its evolution, Mr. Mime, belongs to the regional monsters and is therefore rare for them. Furthermore, all baby Pokémon are also available as Shiny. You can look forward to these monsters in the 7-km eggs throughout the entire event:
- Budew*
- Shinx*
- Whimsicott*
- Mime Jr.*
- Riolu*
