On Saturday, July 25, the Pokémon GO Fest 2020 begins. Now information about the Ultra Bonus and new Shinys has surfaced, which we will summarize for you.

What happened? The website Mercury News has published information regarding the upcoming GO Fest 2020, which is said to come directly from Niantic’s PR department.
This includes the exact schedule of the event in America, the Ultra Bonus for the fest, and which new Shinys will appear.
This is how the GO Fest goes
What does the schedule look like? During the event, the “habitats” of the Pokémon will rotate. In America, for example, the event starts with “Battle,” while in hour 2, “Friendship” and then “Fire” will be in focus.
Interestingly, the habitats seem to rotate globally, while the events start at different times. At least this is suggested by the schedule for America, which has different time zones:
Ultra rewards and many Shinys await you
What are the Ultra rewards like? Throughout the day, trainers can expect 32 challenges to complete. For completing a certain number of tasks, there are special rewards in the form of thematic weeks:
- 8 completed tasks – Ultra Week 1: Dragon Week
- 16 completed tasks – Ultra Week 2: Enigma Week
- 24 completed tasks – Ultra Week 3: Unova Week

What happens in Dragon Week?
Dragon Week is scheduled to take place from July 31 to August 7, and the following Pokémon are expected to appear more frequently:
- Alolan Exeggutor (Shiny possible)
- Seahorse (Shiny possible)
- Dratini (Shiny possible)
- Trapinch (Shiny possible)
- Gible (Shiny possible)
- Swoobat (Shiny possible)
- Swablu (Shiny possible) – but will generally be rarer
The following Pokémon are expected to appear frequently in 7-KM eggs:
- Dratini (Shiny possible)
- Trapinch (Shiny possible)
- Gible (Shiny possible)
- Swablu (Shiny possible)
- Trapinch and Ducklett can appear very rarely, but can also be Shiny.
Additionally, Rayquaza will be in the 5-star raids.
What happens in Enigma Week?
In Enigma Week (from August 7 to 14), the following Pokémon are expected to appear more frequently:
- Staryu (Shiny possible, for the first time)
- Jigglypuff
- Clefairy (Shiny possible)
- Lunatone (Shiny possible)
- Solrock (Shiny possible)
- Drifloon (Shiny possible)
- Bronzor (Shiny possible)
- Porygon
The following Pokémon are expected to appear frequently in 7-KM eggs:
- Bronzong
- Leprechaun
- Porygon
- Unown U, L, T, R, and A
Additionally, Deoxys will be in the 5-star raids and can also be found as Shiny.
What happens in Unova Week?
In the last bonus week (from August 14 to 21), there will be some new Pokémon:
- Swadloon – new
- Whimsicott – new
- Emolga – new
- and Bisharp, which is expected to only appear in New York
In the 7-KM eggs, you can expect:
- Swadloon
- Whimsicott
- Emolga, but very rare
- and other Pokémon from the Unova region
In the 5-star raids, Genesect is expected to be present and can even be found as Shiny. Additionally, Rockruff will be in the raids and for the first time as Shiny.
