In Pokémon GO the event Bug Crab Frenzy begins. Included is Sensect and the evolutions of the creature, which you can obtain for the first time, as well as an increased chance for multiple Shinies.
What kind of event is this? The “Bug Crab Frenzy” starts on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The event runs until Monday, March 23, 2026, at 8:00 PM.
How do I obtain Sensect? In the event you can obtain Sensect as well as the evolutions Keradar and Maritellit for the first time. For the evolution to Keradar you need one Sensect and 25 candies, for the final stage Maritellit another 100 candies.
You can find and challenge Sensect in Level 1 raids. The creature should thus pose no major obstacle, and you can defeat it alone. Additionally, there will be a GO Pass for the event. Here you can also receive an encounter with Sensect as a reward.

Which Shiny creatures are there in the event? In the Bug Crab Frenzy you can find Thermopod as Shiny for the first time. Additionally, the chances of the Shiny variants of Paras, Wadribie, and Wommel, which are attracted by normal lures, are increased.
What bonuses are there in the event? Within the event, you can attract different creatures during various time periods using normal lures. These include the following:

What is included in the event GO Pass? The GO Pass: Bug Crab Frenzy 2026 runs for the entire duration of the event. As always, it is available in a free and a paid (GO Pass Deluxe) version. The paid version costs €5.49 at the lowest price. In both versions, you have until Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 8:00 PM to collect your rewards.
Also in this GO Pass, there are milestones that you unlock by reaching certain levels. These grant you the following bonuses that last until the end of the event:
