In the coming weeks, the next Safari Zones in Europe will start. We will show you where the Pokémon GO events will take place.
Participants of the Pokémon GO Safari Zones have the chance to catch rare Pokémon like Kangaskhan, which are not usually found in Europe. Additionally, various Forms of Unown could be caught during the events.
The event in Germany ended on September 16. In the coming weeks, events in Denmark, Netherlands, Czech Republic, and Sweden will invite players.
Safari Zone – When, where?
Some trainers missed the Safari event in Oberhausen because they may not have had tickets or time. For many players, the trip to western Germany was simply too far. But you don’t have to be disappointed.
In the coming weeks, you will again have the chance to catch rare monsters in Europe that may be closer to you.
- For players from the far North, Denmark is a good option. Anyone who enjoys traveling can also take the trip to Sweden and perhaps combine it with a vacation.
- Players from the South near Munich or from the East near Leipzig have the event in the Czech Republic “nearby”.
- In the West, you will find the Safari Zone Amstelveen in the Netherlands.
In the following map, you can see the various locations of the Safari Zones. Unfortunately, Sweden did not fit completely into this overview.
The Safari Zones will take place on the following dates:
- October 7, 2017
- Fisketorvet — Copenhagen (Denmark)
- Centrum Černý Most — Prague (Czech Republic)
- October 14, 2017
- Mall of Scandinavia — Stockholm (Sweden)
- Stadshart Amstelveen — Amstelveen (Netherlands)

What are Safari Zones in Pokémon GO?
At each Safari Zone event, you will receive an in-game medal and find special 2KM eggs at the PokéStops. You can find enough stops at the shopping centers where these events are active.
To ensure you can catch enough Pokémon, lure modules will be active all day. These attracted Pokémon like Kangaskhan, Chansey, and Larvitar during the event in Oberhausen. Shiny Pikachu and Magikarp, as well as various Forms of Unown, were also encountered there.
The Pokémon GO community currently assumes that the events in the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, and Czech Republic will run similarly to the events on September 16 in Oberhausen, Paris, and Barcelona. During the event days, there will probably be no gym or raid battles at the event locations.
More detailed information will likely be published by the organizers and Niantic in the coming days. Whether there are limited tickets and what the numbers are, we will find out on the Facebook pages of the respective shopping centers.

CentrO went well
Many trainers were satisfied with the Safari event at CentrO in Oberhausen. Even though there were already concerns in the community beforehand, the event mostly ran well. In the shopping center, there were stable internet connections, and trainers could play without major issues.
Outside, at meeting points for many traveling trainers without tickets, the mobile networks were overloaded and only worked intermittently. In our Pokémon GO group on Facebook, the present trainers eagerly sent photos of the event.
CentrO is also happy and thanks the many trainers who attended the event.
